Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic position in Northbrook, IL requires basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC skills, focusing on maintenance and cleaning duties. The role is part of UL Solutions, a global leader in applied safety science, providing testing, inspection, and certification services.

Responsibilities

  • Performs minor repairs relating to mechanical equipment, furniture, shelving, plumbing systems, duct work, etc. as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Assists in the inventory maintenance of parts and materials stock.
  • Assists in the training and inspection of the work of subordinates as directed by supervisor.
  • May perform electrical work, welding, carpentry and other trade work.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Higher Secondary Education and 8 Years commercial maintenance & repair experience preferred.
  • Basic plumbing, electrical and HVAC skills.
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance and cleaning duties.
