Overview

The Maintenance Technician II position at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL involves performing facility and equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of various mechanical and electrical systems. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Document maintenance activities using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, and conveyors.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair patient care equipment like beds and wheelchairs.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical/electrical systems including HVAC and plumbing.
• Perform routine to moderately complex general maintenance functions including carpentry and painting.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks and equipment failures as directed.
• Respond to building occupant requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and perform equipment safety checks.
• Inspect and repair fire doors, hardware, firewalls, and smoke partitions.
• Read blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.

Requirements

• Driver's license required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Basic computer skills including CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

• Full-time position with 1st/2nd shifts.
• Two 8-hour weekday 2nd shifts and 7am-7pm on weekends.
