Overview

The Pipefitter/Plumber will perform journey-level work in the fabrication and repair of piping systems and components under general supervision. The role involves installing, repairing, and troubleshooting various piping systems and ensuring workplace safety and quality work.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair piping systems and components.
• Install, alter, maintain, and test piping systems of all types and materials.
• Work from sketches, P&IDs, isometrics, or verbal instructions.
• Install and repair regulators, gauges, valves, traps, filters, and other equipment connected to piping.
• Install and repair drainage systems in compliance with applicable Plumbing Code.
• Rig piping, valves, and other components safely and effectively.
• Operate hand/power tools and test instruments used in the trade.
• Adhere to safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist in performing duties of other trades as required.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 5 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in pipefitting or associated mechanical trade in an industrial environment.
• Skills to perform required job functions with minimal supervision.
• Vocation or technical school certification preferred.
• Completed courses in Layout, Steamfitting, and Plumbing preferred.
• Familiarity with the local Plumbing Code preferred.
• Ability to read P&IDs and isometric drawings preferred.
• Experience working in an industrial environment preferred.

Additional Information

• Day shift (7 am - 3:45 pm) or 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:45 pm), determined by position availability.
• Environmental conditions will vary based on the job being performed.
• No relocation offered.
• No travel required.
