Overview

SHADE Industries is seeking a skilled, dependable Welder and Fabricator to join our specialized metal fabrication operations serving the Phoenix and Tucson areas. This hands-on position offers consistent year-round work, competitive pay, and comprehensive corporate benefits for a dedicated craftsperson who takes pride in producing strong, clean MIG welds and precise structural assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Cut, drill, fit, layout, and manufacture custom metal parts following blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Produce and inspect strong, clean MIG welds for durability and specification compliance.
  • Safely operate hand tools, shop machinery, and light to medium-duty company vehicles.
  • Load and unload steel inventory and transport fabrication materials to local vendors.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean shop work environment while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Prior professional welding and metal fabrication experience required.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, interpreting welding symbols, and MIG welding.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, crouch, bend, and lift heavy steel materials.
  • Valid state driver license and clean insurable driving record.
  • Ability to operate light to medium-duty company trucks and pass a DOT physical examination.
  • Energetic, dependable self-starter with a strong work ethic and flexible schedule.

Additional Information

  • Office-based with local client travel and short out-of-town deployments of 1 to 4 days.
  • Minimum 40 hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with occasional late afternoons and Saturdays.
