Job Description

Overview

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role supports reliable plant operations through various maintenance activities and works closely with operations to maximize equipment uptime, safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure plant equipment is operating through diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes to minimize downtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Maintain maintenance records and work orders in company systems.
  • Focus on improving productivity through machine, material, or process improvements.
  • Install and troubleshoot new equipment as directed.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Attend work during the regularly scheduled shift and be present at work on time.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Technical training in mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Lock-Out, Tag-out Certified; Crane Certified; Forklift Certified; Ladder and Sling Certified.
  • Basic computer skills required, including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications and maintenance tracking systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation technologies preferred.
