Job Description

Overview

As a Body Shop Technician with Penske, you will perform minor truck and trailer collision repairs and, with supervision, some major repairs. You will use industry-leading technology and repair techniques to ensure high-quality service for customers' vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor electrical system repairs.
  • Prepare surfaces for refinishes.
  • Repair or replace minor cab accessories.
  • Conduct minor cargo box repairs.
  • Assist Technician I and II in the removal, replacement, and repair of major components.
  • Maintain work area appearance and safety.
  • Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/technical school preferred.
  • Certification of completion of technical school specializing in truck and trailer repair/refinish preferred.
  • Working knowledge of tools of trade preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to understand and comply with instructions and safety policies.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary and work the required schedule.

Additional Information

  • Work hours are Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm.
  • Position is regulated by the Department of Transportation.
