Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic II - 2nd shift is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment, primarily focusing on the utilities side of maintenance. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times.
  • Focus on Good Manufacturing and Food Safety practices in all work.
  • Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
  • Wire moderately complex control circuits.
  • Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance, TPM functions, equipment set-up and centerlining.
  • Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate.
  • Quickly learn to weld and machine metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
  • Complete size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
  • Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical and control failures and resolve with effective problem-solving tools.
  • Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLC.
  • Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.
  • Demonstrate KDP values of Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, Being Fearless and Fair.

Requirements

  • 2-years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability and willingness to make decisions, effectively communicate, problem solve and teach others.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to frequently walk, kneel, squat, climb, bend, stoop, and twist.
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.

Additional Information

  • 3rd shift; 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.
  • Pay starting at $37.14 per hour, moving to $39.05 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.
  • Shift Premium $1/hr
  • Full Benefits starting Day 1
