Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician position at Altium Packaging involves performing repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role requires compliance with safety standards and effective communication with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
  • Install, adjust and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer and other related equipment.
  • Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin and other equipment changes.
  • Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses.
  • Inspect, rebuild and replace valves and pumps.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment.
  • Maintain machines in optimal processing condition.
  • Weld, fabricate, and repair various machines.
  • Troubleshoot, locate root problems and repair blow mold, baggers & support equipment.
  • May operate blow mold or injection machines.
  • Communicate with other departments on a frequent basis.
  • Receive instructions on specific job tasks from Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 2+ years maintenance experience, specifically in the plastics manufacturing industry.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • 2+ years maintenance experience, specifically with extrusion blow molding machines (preferred).
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education (preferred).
  • OSHA Forklift certification (preferred).
