Overview

The Fiberglass Technician performs various skills on varying items, focusing on tasks related to fiberglass and plastic materials.

Responsibilities

  • Hand laminating, working a chopper gun, and rolling out fiberglass materials.
  • Vacuum forms and bonds plastics such as ABS, kydex, polycarb and plex.
  • Ability to grind fiberglass with power hand tools both in shop and on rides.
  • Removing and repairing various materials and surfaces, such as installing various seatbelts and changing out upholstery.
  • Fabricating pans from polyester resin and urethane foam.

Requirements

  • Ability to prepare a pattern and pull a tool or a part.
  • Ability to assemble and install fabricated pans.
  • Basic knowledge of plastic materials, adhesive and fasteners.
  • Four-year experience in fiberglass assembly and polyester resin hand laminating.
  • Good mechanical skills.

Additional Information

  • Position requires full availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
