Overview

The Electro-Mechanical Technician at International Paper is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing mechanical and electrical systems in a plant environment. The role requires a strong background in industrial maintenance and offers a competitive pay rate along with various benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, replace, and install mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for plant equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as conveyors and presses.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components and electrical controls.
  • Read and understand mechanical prints and electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Fabricate equipment and make adjustments to improve productivity.
  • Maintain close relationships with Machine Operators and Production Supervisors.
  • Train others and share knowledge and experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
  • Possess technical skills in all disciplines of industrial maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment.
  • Outstanding analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 to 70 pounds as needed.

Additional Information

  • Hourly full-time position with 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm and 3rd shift from 11pm to 7am, Monday to Friday.
  • Physical location: Thorofare Retail, 33 Phoenix Drive, Thorofare, NJ 08012.
  • Employee must provide a large assortment of tools and their own toolbox.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
