Overview

The Assembly Worker Structures Sr - C130 position at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA, is focused on laying out and locating structural components for production assemblies. Responsibilities

  • Perform difficult structural pick-up and/or rework such as removing, replacing, or realigning ribs, bulkheads, stringers, or fittings.
  • Work on structural changes that materially alter previous assembly references and practices.
  • Perform trimming, reforming, and altering parts and structures as required.
  • Fabricate detail parts such as shims, splices, gussets, angles, brackets, doublers, stiffeners, and patches.
  • Perform portable milling operations on wing and center section attaching joints.
  • Improve shop aids to facilitate assembly and installation as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School/GED education required.
  • At least four years of experience as an Aircraft Structural Assembly Worker.
  • Satisfactory performance in structures assembly as well as hydraulic/plumbing and/or controls.
  • Ability to work under pressurized conditions or in confined areas.
  • Pressurizer certification required.
  • Must attend skills training and pass a performance demonstration test.
