Overview

Brunel is currently resourcing for one of its major oil & gas clients, specifically looking for offshore support on the Wellsite side of completions. The role is a contract position that involves a mix of office and offshore work, focusing on safe and efficient deepwater wells operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning, performance and management of completions operations.
  • Partner closely with Detailed design and Operations engineering, Subsurface, and Franchise teams.
  • Ensure engineering drawings are complete for all steps of the operation.
  • Support and/or lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
  • Lead technical and HSSE management of service provider contracts.
  • Conduct shop visits, tool loadouts, SITs, and audits with a strong QA/QC focus.
  • Translate guidelines and standards into practice and provide technical recommendations.
  • Drive the identification, development and implementation of new technologies.
  • Contribute to the training and guidance of other professions in the field.
  • Be present in the office during non-operational periods to focus on planning.
  • Determine own work plan and coordinate input from others to meet objectives.
  • Impact well operations budget efficiency.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in deepwater wells operations with demonstrated completions expertise.
  • Well control certification (IWCF/IADC) and offshore survival certifications.
  • HUET Certification or ability to acquire.
  • TWIC card or ability to acquire.
