Job Description
Overview
MiniMed is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team, focusing on innovation and making a difference in the lives of people living with diabetes. This role involves leading the design and development of mechanical and electromechanical products.
Responsibilities
- Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems.
- Recommends technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements.
- May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years’ relevant experience in a regulated industry or Advanced degree with 2+ years of relevant experience in a regulated industry.
- Fixture design, deployment and validation on the manufacturing line required.
- Experience with manufacturing line validation (DOE, Process development, IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Solid Works / CAD Modeling.
- Ability to travel 20 – 30% domestic and international.
