Overview

The 202 Tech position involves setting up and monitoring engineering and production audit tests, ensuring data accuracy, and developing software solutions for testing procedures. The role requires troubleshooting and maintaining test equipment, as well as documenting processes and training laboratory personnel.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, monitor, and complete engineering and production audit tests.
• Check raw data for accuracy during collection.
• Inform laboratory personnel of any issues with test equipment or data collection.
• Document the completion of tests properly.
• Assist in training for proper test setup and completion.
• Communicate and resolve difficulties in test performance.
• Develop software solutions for new standard tests with documentation and training.
• Create analysis templates for new test procedures and check their accuracy.
• Document modifications to templates and train affected personnel.
• Store reduced data in appropriate network folders.
• Verify the accuracy of raw data and handle necessary adjustments.
• Execute preventive maintenance work orders timely and document machinery logs.
• Troubleshoot machine behavior to determine root causes.
• Lead repairs of test equipment and document repair activities.
• Coordinate non-standard housekeeping initiatives and suggest improvements.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules based on engineering knowledge.
• Make modifications to existing test control programs as necessary.
• Order replacements for worn or broken test fixtures.
• Create test control programs from product parameters.
• Suggest and implement efficiency improvements to laboratory processes.
• Assist in developing test fixtures and make drawing revisions.
• Develop control software and enhancements including testing and training.
• Document incoming test requests and update schedules.
• Generate documentation for replenishing laboratory supplies.
• Solicit vendor quotes and perform competitive analysis.
• Generate work requests for maintenance personnel as necessary.
• Coordinate shipping activities from the laboratory.

Requirements

• Associates degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience developing programs using Visual Basic or similar languages.
• Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, and controls.
• Proficient in CAD for mechanical component design.
• Experience with sensors and data acquisition systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Capable of automation programming with high-speed data acquisition.
