Overview

The Production Technician position involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating equipment while ensuring adherence to safety and organizational standards. Candidates will work with blueprints and electrical diagrams, and collaborate with engineers to ensure efficient production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate equipment as needed.
  • Work from blueprints, electrical diagrams, and manuals.
  • Verify and assist with machine set-ups.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems including mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Adjust process parameters and machine hardware.
  • Verify new tooling prior to production.
  • Collaborate with engineers for repair parts.
  • Maintain organized tooling and spare parts storage.
  • Run test and prototype parts and document the process.
  • Respond to SPC data and adjust processes as necessary.
  • Analyze machine rejects and adjust processes or machines accordingly.
  • Provide technical assistance to skilled trades.
  • Maintain logbooks and performance measures.
  • Material handle and perform work orders and PMs.
  • Use gauge blocks, dial indicators, micrometers, forklift trucks, and hand tools.
  • Read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Experience with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
