Overview

The NDT Level II position involves conducting Non-Destructive Testing, specifically Fluorescent Penetrant inspection, in a manufacturing environment. The role requires attention to detail, quality review, and the ability to work various shifts, including overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Fluorescent Penetrant inspection functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Perform quality review metallurgical dispositions following procedures as required.
  • Complete classroom theory, OFT and certification examination.
  • Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
  • Responsible for signing-off product inspected.
  • Re-certification required at interval.
  • Perform daily walk around of equipment, maintain cleanliness of inspection area and be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Must be able to obtain NDT Certification within designated timeframe.
  • Must be willing to work any shift, including an alternate work week. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree in a Non-Destructive Testing program OR Level II Certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection.
  • In absence of a technical degree, must have 4 years of work experience in Non-Destructive inspection.
  • Experience in a quality/aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of FPI Inspection systems is preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
  • Experience following quality procedures is preferred.
