Overview

Airbus is seeking an Aircraft Quality Inspector A to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft by performing critical inspections and navigating FAA and EASA regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining safety standards and quality in aircraft manufacturing and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform required technical inspections to receive or reject incoming material and components.
  • Conduct in-process inspections for various components to judge serviceability.
  • Inspect aircraft structures for cracks, corrosion, and improper assembly.
  • Determine proper shimming and joining of structures according to design drawings.
  • Monitor the use of Measuring and Test Equipment for calibration.
  • Perform stock inspections for non-conforming material.
  • Validate disposition of parts routed for conformity and serviceability.
  • Ensure proper tagging and identification of parts released.
  • Create QN/NCs for non-conforming material and coordinate resolution.
  • Ensure all materials have required documentation.
  • Research airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
  • Read and validate engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Apply Airbus Core Values to create a successful environment.
  • Perform routine process audits for compliance.
  • Support company events and departmental meetings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of quality inspection on aircraft components or 6 years as a certificated aviation maintenance technician.
  • Current/Valid FAA Airframe & Power Plant License.
  • Must be a US Person under ITAR definition.
