Overview

The RS Avionics Installer III position at GAC Dallas involves leading and assisting technicians in avionics installations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications. The role requires proficiency in wire terminations and experience in large cabin avionics installations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides work direction to technicians and ensures task completion within time frames.
  • Installs, modifies, and fabricates wiring and electrical components according to blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Trains team members in work assignments and contributes to employee development.
  • Assists Engineering in problem resolution and repairs as directed.
  • Maintains required logs and records.
  • Ensures work meets regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Enforces company programs and safety regulations.
  • Checks work for defect-free assembly before final inspection.
  • Maintains shop equipment and tools as assigned.
  • Coordinates shift changes in the absence of the team leader.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assists and fills in for team coordinator as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and one year of related work experience, or three years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Proficient in all wire type terminations.
  • Smart Team/Catia experience preferred.
  • Large Cabin Avionics Install background preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer keyboard skills necessary.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
