Overview

The Field Service Representative (FSR) for Gimpel valves and Steam Turbines works in the field, supporting customer sites with maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation & commissioning. This position is based in North America and requires extensive travel to customer sites, focusing on customer satisfaction and equipment performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical field service, installation, commissioning, testing, and service inspections for Gimpel valve systems and industrial steam turbines.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, equipment assessments, and complex troubleshooting.
  • Document service activities and communicate technical findings.
  • Operate and interpret results from test equipment to verify system performance.
  • Lead and coordinate onsite personnel and support project planning.
  • Deliver customer training and technical guidance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power, or related technical field preferred.
  • 3+ years of steam turbine and/or safety valve experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of steam turbines, rotating equipment, mechanical systems, instrumentation and controls, PLCs, and electro-hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport required; must be authorized to work in the U.S.
