Overview

CompuCycle is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of industrial processing equipment, particularly shredders and conveyor systems. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving various mechanical and electrical systems throughout the processing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial shredders and conveyor systems.
  • Inspect and maintain shredder components including cutters, shafts, and motors.
  • Perform adjustments, component replacements, and repairs to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on various industrial machinery.
  • Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and diagnose electrical faults.
  • Perform basic to advanced welding and fabrication for equipment repairs.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
  • Document failures and repairs to identify recurring problems.
  • Follow all safety requirements and maintain safe working conditions.
  • Utilize the company's CMMS to maintain maintenance records and schedules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Experience in a shredding, recycling, or heavy industrial environment preferred.
  • Direct experience with SSI shredders or comparable industrial shredding equipment preferred.
  • Proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems.
  • Technical degree or industrial maintenance certification preferred.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
  • Location: CompuCycle Processing Facility
