Overview

West Star is a rapidly growing maintenance repair organization that emphasizes customer service excellence and employee growth. The Sheet Metal Technician III role involves working with turbine aircraft structures and supervising projects while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe and associated components.
  • Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
  • Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling as required.
  • Utilize basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly in English.
  • Complete any other job-related duties assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.
  • Valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport is ideal but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience working with sheet metal is preferred.
  • Self-motivated team players who can perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
  • Reliable transportation to work each day.
  • Ability to perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

  • Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations.
  • Work outside during aircraft runs will occur.
