Overview

Hunter Contracting Co. is a family-owned, heavy civil contracting firm serving Arizona since 1961, seeking hard-working, self-motivating individuals for the role of Manhole Rehab Laborer. The position involves maintenance and rehabilitation of underground sewer and manhole structures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in high pressure water profiling, pressure washing, hydro blasting and grouting.
  • Apply spray foam and/or epoxy coating.
  • Rehab manholes using cementitious coating or epoxy coating, spray and trowel.
  • Replace or adjust manhole ring, frames and covers.
  • Utilize flow through sewer plugs.
  • Seal and stop infiltration around cracks, seams and pipe connections.
  • Work in confined spaces, including entry into manhole and underground structures.

Requirements

  • Hydraulic cement experience.
  • Hand and power tool experience.
  • Sandblasting experience.
  • Ability to read and distinguish blueprints.
  • Ability to read and follow safety standards on labels.
  • Must be confined space certified.
  • Ability to finish concrete surfaces.
  • Knowledge of concrete fabrication techniques.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair.
  • Takes pride in craftsmanship.
  • Works within precise standards of accuracy.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have an unrestricted driver license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of epoxy coating and concrete repair experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
