Overview

American Residential Services (ARS) is the nation’s largest provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services, employing over 7,000 professionals nationwide. The Plumbing Helper will support experienced plumbers with residential plumbing installations, repairs, and underground plumbing work, providing an opportunity for hands-on training and career advancement in the plumbing trade.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in clean, working condition
  • Keep job sites organized and assist with clean-up throughout service and installation work
  • Assist plumbers with plumbing repairs, plumbing installations, and pipe work under supervision
  • Help prepare job sites and materials for plumbing work as directed by supervisors
  • Interact professionally with homeowners and city officials when needed
  • Support underground plumbing work including digging, trenching, and line repairs
  • Perform general labor tasks as needed to support plumbing technicians

Requirements

  • Plumbing or drain cleaning experience preferred but not required
  • Previous work experience and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments including digging and lifting equipment
  • Solid interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed with minimal supervision
