Overview

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is a leader in power distribution and protection systems, specializing in customized solutions for safe and reliable power distribution. The company is looking for a Structural Welder to join their team in Fontana, CA, to fabricate framing for sheet metal enclosure buildings using welding techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Plan details of work order procedures and gather required tools and materials.
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly.
  • Weld structural steel (c-channels) in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Clamp, hold, or tack weld parts to obtain required configurations.
  • Determine required equipment and welding techniques based on knowledge of metallurgy and geometry.
  • Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
  • Notify supervisor of faulty equipment or defective materials.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship OR 2+ years’ experience in dual shield welding process.
  • Certification required: AWS D1.1 FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding).
