Overview

GrayWolf is seeking Structural Welders for their Lebanon, IN project. As a heavy industrial/commercial construction contractor with over 45 years of experience, GrayWolf focuses on safety, quality, and performance while providing a competitive wage and benefits program.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely around construction hazards.
  • Use hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely.
  • Read and understand blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
  • Secure components together using knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts for secure positioning.
  • Prepare materials for welding by cutting or grinding.
  • Set materials in stands, racks, or hoists for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts using various welding techniques.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, and reshaping.
  • Reassemble parts using cutting tools and hand tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years heavy industrial field experience as a Welder.
  • Ability to identify welding techniques (TIG, MIG, Arc) and understand metal properties.
  • Completion of required welding certification(s).
  • Must have a locking toolbox and necessary tools.
  • Must successfully complete all pre-hire requirements.

  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Work in confined and cluttered spaces and uneven areas.
  • Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Climb and maintain balance on steel frameworks and scaffolds.
  • PPE footwear and safety glasses are required.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle.
