Overview

A leading engineering firm is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer to support their on-site team. This role offers a high-impact leadership position within a collaborative environment focused on impactful structural projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary engineering authority for complex structural repair and retrofit initiatives.
  • Develop, analyze, and approve structural plans in accordance with California Building Code and local regulations.
  • Oversee technical calculations, plan development, and ensure all designs meet quality standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor engineering staff, including engineers, drafters, and technical personnel.
  • Coordinate with permit authorities, conduct site inspections, and support project compliance and approvals.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Active California Structural Engineer (SE) license.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in structural engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of wood framing, concrete, steel, foundations, and retrofit systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as RAM, RISA, CAD, Revit, or similar tools.
