Thornton Tomasetti is an independent organization applying engineering and scientific principles to solve global challenges, focusing on creating resilient futures. The Structural Engineering practice collaborates with various stakeholders to design innovative solutions for diverse projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and refine structural analysis, design, and detailing tasks.
  • Drive the quality of deliverables by organizing information and reviewing junior staff’s work.
  • Coordinate proactively with architects and engineers for day-to-day technical decisions.
  • Support and mentor junior team members through effective delegation and feedback.
  • Grow leadership skills by assisting with project management activities and engaging in client-facing opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred.
  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience with proficiency in tools like SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, StructurePoint Software, and Revit.
  • Experience designing steel, concrete, and timber systems.
  • Strong communication and emerging leadership skills with a commitment to mentoring junior staff.
