Overview

The Welder position involves performing various welding tasks to meet quality and production standards, including cutting, fabricating, and assembling parts. The role requires self-sufficiency in operating equipment and conducting quality checks.

Responsibilities

  • Sand and grind welds as needed to meet appropriate quality and production standards.
  • Self-sufficient on start-up and shutdown equipment procedures.
  • Select appropriate weld setting to obtain a quality weld.
  • Cut and fabricate parts from raw stock material.
  • Assemble and weld components for products.
  • Use measuring tape and other tools.
  • Operate all necessary equipment to assemble and weld components.
  • Perform quality checks of parts as needed including effective use of calipers and micrometers.
