Overview

Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS), part of Spirax Group, creates electrical process heating and temperature management solutions, including industrial heaters and systems. The Certified Weld Inspector will inspect and document welded equipment and parts under the supervision of the Sr. Manager, Quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct various nondestructive inspections in the production process.
  • Provide oversight and in-process inspection of the overall welding inspection processes.
  • Perform positive material inspection analysis utilizing radiation-producing equipment.
  • Coordinate audits and monitor contracted nondestructive evaluation/test processes and personnel.
  • Execute radiographic film review to ASME Section III, IV, V, VIII, and IX requirements.
  • Perform daily visual/process audits in manufacturing areas to ensure jobs receive required tests/inspections promptly.
  • Perform necessary inspection procedures requiring special set-ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from various sources.
  • Maintain welder continuity log and ensure compliance with ASME and DOD standards.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled and required for TPM.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Create documentation of compliance with applicable ASME codes and regulations.
  • May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency on other essential job functions of the department as production needs require.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships; training and teaching others.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.
  • Support company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
