Overview

The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock, Arkansas is a medical college affiliated VA Medical Center with 569 beds across two campuses. The Pipefitter role involves installing and repairing various piping systems and equipment within this extensive facility.

Responsibilities

  • Installs and repairs valves, fittings, traps, fixtures, drains, and other items on piping systems and equipment.
  • Works from building plans, blueprints, sketches, and oral orders to plan and lay out piping systems.
  • Maintains therapeutic swimming pool equipment, ensuring proper heating and circulation of water.
  • Joins, seals, and tests systems and equipment for proper pressure and leak-free operation.

  • Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Thursday 1:00 pm - 11:30 pm and Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (subject to change).
  • Physical requirements include working from ladders, scaffolding, and in hard-to-reach places.
  • Working conditions may involve exposure to dirty, dusty, and greasy environments.
