Overview

The Welder Fabricator is responsible for certified structural welding, custom fabrication, mechanical installation, and equipment support across the facility. This position supports the Maintenance and Kaizen teams by designing, fabricating, and installing engineered solutions that improve equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform certified structural welding in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, and company safety standards.
  • Design, fabricate, and install custom components including structural supports, guards, fixtures, platforms, and equipment modifications.
  • Independently develop fabrication solutions when drawings or prints are not available.
  • Generate materials requisition for fabrication projects, including materials, hardware, and consumables.
  • Execute 100% turnkey fabrication projects, including design, fabrication, installation, and final verification.
  • Support Maintenance removing, replacing, and installing hydraulic, water, and process pumps across manufacturing equipment including performing mechanical alignment and verification following pump installation.
  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and mechanical safety procedures.
  • Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives through fabrication and mechanical modifications.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to improve equipment reliability and safety.
  • Keep organized records, documents, drawings, information of assigned projects/tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication and work area.
