Overview

The Welder II position involves performing various welding processes on valves and piping in an air-conditioned shop. Candidates should have strong manual pipe welding abilities and be able to pass specific welding tests.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding using GTAW-Pulsed, GTAW-Hot Wire, GTAW, and FCAW processes on valves and piping.
  • Overlay and manual pipe welding as required.
  • Pass 6G test and X-ray on ½”-6” Pipe.

Requirements

  • High School degree required, technical courses preferred.
  • Certified Welder or ability to become certified within first six months of employment.
  • Minimum of 5 years welding, cutting, brazing experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years using compact cladders (ARC 5, Fronius).
  • Ability to read and follow weld procedures and pass a 6 G GTAW/FCAW weld test.
  • Familiar with the safe operation of welding and cutting equipment and gas equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-directed with excellent initiative and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to handle multiple demands with urgency and energy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret weld drawings.

What you'll be running
