Join the winning team of Mac Haik Houston Chevy, a 20-time Chevy Dealer of the Year Winner, as a Body Shop Technician. This position involves performing vehicle collision and repair work while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle collision and repair work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform all body work including welding, soldering, body alignment and oxidizing operations.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Notify body shop supervisor and/or estimator immediately if additional repair is required or not needed.
• Notify shop supervisor and/or estimator immediately if repairs can’t be completed within time promised.
• Document all work performed on the RO including recording cause of failure.
• Maintain the highest possible standards of workmanship; perform quality checks.
• Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Ensure that customer vehicles are kept clean and are only driven for business purpose.
• Keep shop area neat and clean; must account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
• Stay current in the latest collision and repair methods across a number of brands.
• Participate in collision and repair training activities; attend factory-sponsored classes.
• Meet customer service standards by achieving ‘above district’ customer service information CSI scores.
• Follow established safety protocols; report any shop equipment in improper working condition.
• Understand, keep informed of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations affecting service operations.
• Safeguard dealership assets and customer data.
• Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
• Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
• Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Verifiable 4+ years of Body Shop Technician experience required.
• I-Car welding certifications (steel & aluminum).
• Understanding of written estimates and OEC procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening.
• Authorization to work in the USA.
