Overview

NDT Global is a leading provider of inline diagnostic solutions and integrity management services for the energy sector. The Field Technician role involves learning practical techniques for tool preparation and executing on-site activities related to inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support and assistance for the inspection tool.
• Prepare and verify inspection tools by assembling, configuring, and confirming to a defined build state.
• Perform normal maintenance on inspection tools.
• Refurbish inspection tools to a given state.
• Support the execution of inspection tool launch, run, and receive, coordinating Above Ground Markers (AGM) movement and tool tracking.
• Complete required field documentation for inspection projects.
• Conduct daily risk assessments in line with HSEQ standards.
• Report potential problems or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A two-year degree, diploma or technical vocational training as an Engineer Technician in Mechatronic, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Full driver's license is required.
• Knowledge of general shop safety and issued tool safety procedures.
• Aptitude for learning new technologies and concepts.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of corresponding work experience, ideally in the oil and gas sector.
• Preferred background in In-line Inspection (ILI), Acoustic Resonance Technology (ART) or Ultrasonic (UT).
• Familiarity with a wide range of mechanical and/or electrical tools and test equipment.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and tool configurations.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of NDT Specific software (Cassiopeia, LineExplorer, Peanut, etc.).
• Certification to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Certification in lifting and slinging and/or rigging.
