Overview

The Weld Fitting - Level 1 position at Klune Industries involves performing basic fitting setups under direct supervision during the 2nd shift. This role requires minimal experience and offers paid on-the-job training, along with a compensation range that varies based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of basic fitting tasks such as loading raw material onto fixtures and jigs.
  • Conduct basic material fitting operations using fitting equipment and tools according to customer specifications.
  • Execute basic visual and mechanical inspection operations to ensure component material fitting meets customer specifications.
  • Maintain area organization and cleanliness throughout the shift.

Requirements

  • Ability to use basic hand tools and fitting tools such as clamps, stands, and jigs.
  • Basic print reading and weld symbol interpretation skills.
  • Ability to use basic inspection tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers, and feeler gauges.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills concerning fitting processes.
  • 0-1 years of experience preferred in mechanical processes and methods.
  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Additional Information

  • 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM.
  • Paid On-The-Job Training Schedule: 8-12 weeks on 1st shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM).
