Overview

Raymond West is seeking a skilled Shop Technician to join their Service Department, responsible for performing repairs and services on customer equipment while maintaining strong communication with customers and colleagues. The company specializes in providing comprehensive warehouse solutions, including lift trucks, racking, and service.

Responsibilities

• Repair all types of equipment sold and serviced by the company.
• Maintain a profitable billing level.
• Complete all paperwork transactions in a timely and orderly fashion.
• Communicate options to the Shop Supervisor before proceeding with work.
• Complete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Represent the entire company at all times.
• Report all accidents, whether self or customer.
• Account for 100% of available time during working hours.
• Willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Follow all procedures in the company’s Employee Handbook.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
• Pass Raymond Certification and re-certification if applicable.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 2 years breakdown experience or comparable service experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Must maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers.
• Sound working knowledge of basic D.C. and A.C. electricity.
• Sound working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Must pass all available certificates appropriate to the position.
• Self-starter with good organizational skills.

Additional Information

• Position is non-sedentary.
• Must be willing to work out of town as necessary.
