Overview

Skyryse is on a mission to enhance aviation safety and accessibility through innovative technology. The Electrical & Wiring Technician will play a crucial role in building wire harnesses for aircraft, working closely with engineers to ensure high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Build prototype and production wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and subassemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class [2 / 3] criteria.
  • Prep, splice, tie, lace, and dress wire using calibrated crimp tools, thermal strippers, and thermal tweezers.
  • Hand solder electrical and electronic assemblies to J-STD-001 Class [2 / 3].
  • Perform first article inspection against drawings and wire lists, applying IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 acceptability criteria.
  • Diagnose failures to root cause with oscilloscopes and DMMs, then document findings and corrective action.
  • Work from schematics, wire lists, and interconnect drawings; red-line them and report discrepancies to engineering.
  • Analyze test data and recommend changes to components, harness design, or test procedures.
  • Interpret wire lists, perform continuity check-out, splice wires, and perform other tasks related to wire routing and dressing.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in electrical assembly, harness fabrication, or avionics installation.
  • Ability to build to IPC/WHMA-A-620, solder to J-STD-001, and inspect to IPC-A-610.
  • Experience with DC harness wiring with D-Sub, Micro-D, and circular connectors.
  • Ability to read schematics, wire lists, and interconnect diagrams without close supervision.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and similar test equipment.
