Overview

SG Metal & Glass is seeking a Commercial Window Fabricator to build high-performance commercial glazing and aluminum systems in their 20,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in Bridgeview, IL. This full-time position offers a stable career path with a focus on mastering glazing fabrication and glass system assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Operate specialized aluminum saws and fabrication machinery to cut materials with high precision.
  • Utilize hand tools, drills, and impacts to prepare and assemble complex aluminum window frames.
  • Assist in the custom fabrication of break metal components according to technical shop drawings.
  • Interpret tape measures and architectural plans to ensure all components meet exact project specifications.
  • Manage logistics by loading outgoing project trucks and safely unloading incoming material deliveries.
  • Maintain a safe and organized shop environment while meeting daily production and assembly goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a construction, fabrication, or warehouse environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the shop. Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proven ability to read a tape measure accurately and use basic power tools safely.
  • Physical capability to lift over 50 pounds and work on your feet for 8-hour shifts.
