Overview

The Quality Intern - Construction position in Downtown Chicago involves applying standard engineering techniques and procedures, assisting lead engineers, and supporting various project duties in the construction group, which focuses on construction phase services and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Assist lead engineers with various project duties.
  • Correct and update designs as necessary.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Welding Technology, Materials Joining Engineering, Supplier Quality, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
