Overview

Super Products in Edison, NJ is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain truck-mounted vacuum equipment in both the shop and the field. The company is an industry leader in designing and manufacturing high-quality vacuum truck equipment since 1973.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Effectively read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air and water systems.
• Conduct all repairs within DOT or OEM standards to return rental equipment to 'Ready to Rent' status.
• Perform and document 'check in' and 'check out' inspections of fleet equipment.
• Maintain and organize shop and storage areas ensuring proper storage of flammable items.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum three (3) years of verifiable experience as a mechanic.
• Experience with truck-mounted vacuum equipment preferred.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data, drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to administer DOT inspections.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Must be organized and possess the ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Be self-motivated, shows complete accountability, and is timely in all assignments.
• Must own and supply a basic set of hand tools and storage box.
