Overview

Austin Industrial is a leader in providing self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to industrial companies across the U.S. The Plumber/HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing and HVAC systems in an industrial environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections and preventative checks on facility systems.
  • Diagnose and repair furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, refrigeration units, and industrial plumbing systems.
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Inspect plumbing, drainage, and related systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment required to perform assigned duties.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Work with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, copper, and other piping materials.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components associated with HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
  • Complete assigned projects independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations and measurement conversions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • EPA Certification and HVAC-related certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of journeyman-level plumbing experience.
  • Industrial HVAC and mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
