Overview

The Building Maintenance Specialist at Texas Behavioral Health Center will work under minimal supervision to provide journeyman level skills in various trades, acting as a liaison between the Physical Plant and the facility's Administrator. This newly completed state-funded psychiatric hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth aims to deliver innovative, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform plumbing, electrical, welding, mechanical, housekeeping, carpentry, and painting repairs according to service requests.
  • Inspect plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems in assigned buildings as scheduled.
  • Maintain records and documents of work completed.
  • Install new equipment as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or vocational school.
  • 4 years of skilled or journeyman level experience including two years of experience in each of two trades or crafts.

Additional Information

  • Work Location: Dallas, Texas - onsite 100% of time.
  • Shift Requirement: 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, Sunday to Thursday.
