Overview

Flytrex is a leading drone delivery company in the U.S., scaling operations across Dallas–Fort Worth to provide ultrafast, on-demand delivery via autonomous aircraft. The company is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform assembly tasks, testing, and quality control for the production of the Flytrex Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) in Pilot Point, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and verify technical data to perform root-cause analysis on routine operational issues.
  • Support supplier quality selection and evaluate supplier processes to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Assist with hardware, software, and system-level audits to verify compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
  • Perform final adjustments, alignments, and calibrations to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools to execute operations outlined in work instructions.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Handle, mix, and apply specialized epoxy resins and bonding systems.
  • Maintain and operate client- and company-supplied tooling in proper working order.
  • Follow engineering documentation and complete work orders accurately.
  • Perform sub-assembly and component assembly operations.
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings and technical instructions to assemble components efficiently.
  • Set up and operate fixtures, jigs, and testing equipment for sub-assembly fabrication.
  • Assemble, fit, and align materials onto integrated structures.
  • Conduct comprehensive checks and final functional validations on assembled systems.
  • Perform adjustments and repairs through various mechanical processes.
  • Document audit findings and inspection results in standardized report formats.
  • Verify product conformance against baseline design requirements.
  • Provide clear documentation of quality testing results.
  • Conduct ongoing quality surveillance, auditing, and process monitoring.
  • Identify, report, and document technical discrepancies.
  • Segregate and manage non-conforming parts and materials.
  • Perform preliminary reviews and disposition evaluations for non-conforming items.
  • Identify recurring non-conformances and initiate Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
  • Conduct all operations in compliance with applicable aviation regulations.
  • Drive continuous process improvement across all manufacturing operations.
  • Operate safely within an indoor manufacturing facility.
  • Participate in team meetings, technical briefings, and training sessions.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
