Overview

The Laborer - Electrical position at MasTec, Inc. involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems at various jobsites, while ensuring a clean and safe construction environment. This role requires domestic travel and supports the overall project.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
  • Complete all required Safety documentation
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Lift, carry and hold building materials, tools and supplies
  • Support in the assembly of electrical components and equipment
  • Assist with routine maintenance and repairs
  • Provide assistance on the site as needed
  • Prepare and maintain work sites, including the handling of materials and tools
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored
  • May be required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or one to three months of related experience in construction and/or training or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
  • Prior experience in electrical or construction labor is preferred
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
