Overview

Siemens Energy is seeking candidates for their Field Service Engineer - Early Career Engineering Training Program, which combines classroom instruction, hands-on training, and field experience to support energy infrastructure across North America. This role involves working with advanced turbines and generators, offering a dynamic career with unique challenges and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Complete classroom and instructor-led training in Orlando, FL and Houston, TX.
  • Participate in on-the-job training with expert engineers at customer sites across the US.
  • Supervise technicians and mechanics during power plant maintenance shutdowns.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble turbines and generators.
  • Coordinate upgrades of mechanical and electrical systems on turbine generators.
  • Act as the primary customer contact during outages to ensure timely repairs.
  • Assist with equipment disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and reassembly.
  • Collaborate with customers, field technicians, engineers, and service teams.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field is required by the start date.
  • Candidates graduating in the following year are encouraged to apply for other open opportunities.
  • Ability to travel 200-250 days per year for durations ranging from 2 to 15 weeks.
  • Willingness to work extended hours of up to 12-14 hours per day, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
