Overview

The Engineering Internship at EFCO in Atlanta, GA, offers students pursuing Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering degrees a chance to gain practical engineering experience while supporting active projects and business operations during the summer of 2027. Interns will work onsite and have opportunities for mentorship, networking, and professional development, along with potential future full-time employment consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Support project engineering and drafting activities for presale and contracted work.
  • Assist with layout drawings, equipment selection, and quantity take-offs.
  • Work under the supervision of experienced team members to meet project specifications, accuracy, and safety expectations.
  • Apply strong mathematical reasoning and technical proficiency to contribute to high-quality solutions that align with EFCO standards.
  • Complete required onboarding, safety training, and EFCO process orientation.
  • Learn and implement EFCO's drafting and engineering practices.
  • Communicate ideas clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) systems required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and general PC literacy.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and problem-solving ability required.
