Overview

Airgas is hiring a Plant Operator in Atlanta, GA, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of their production facility, including the filling of cylinders. The company is committed to diversity and inclusion, fostering a culture of safety and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Care for and steward equipment within the production facility, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts.
  • Engage in routine inspections and maintenance contributions to keep equipment in excellent condition.
  • Safely support the flow and transport of cylinders, including filling and quality checks.
  • Contribute to accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
  • Maintain a commitment to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in collaborative team meetings and safety initiatives.

Requirements

  • Applicants should be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical certification in industrial operations is a plus.
  • Industrial Gas Experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A shared commitment to safety and following protocols.
  • Comfort with operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and occasional extra hours.

  • Work Schedule - Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm.
  • Location: Atlanta, GA (South Division).
  • Monthly Plant Incentive potentially earn up to $4 more per hour.
