Overview

As an NDT II Inspector at StandardAero, you will perform non-destructive testing inspections to ensure the safety and reliability of aircraft components. The company emphasizes integrity and provides a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive testing inspections in accordance with StandardAero policies and procedures.
• Set up and calibrate equipment for NDT inspection.
• Ensure all required inspections and proper documentation are completed before product release.
• Complete NDT inspections of overhauled or repaired engines and components.
• Plan workload in coordination with Production and Engineering teams.
• Train and guide other NDT employees.
• Evaluate technical data for NDT inspection procedures and revise as necessary.
• Provide technical support for salvage schemes and prevent the release of defective parts.
• Compile statistical data from inspection documents.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Perform warranty reviews and provide technical knowledge for decision-making.
• Create investigation and production reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Quality assurance, Aerospace, Quality Control/inspection, or equivalent experience.
• Completion of on-the-job training in magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI).
• Previous Level II Certifications required.
• Ability to pass NDT and Inspection eye examinations.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 or other regulatory specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work specifications.
• Must pass general, specific, and practical examinations in magnetic particle or penetrant.
• Must be certifiable to NAS 410.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
