Overview

Ricochet is an industry-leading manufacturer of high-tech Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice to support the maintenance and reliability of their manufacturing equipment, focusing on industrial sewing equipment while gaining hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with troubleshooting, adjustment, repair, and preventative maintenance of industrial sewing machines and production equipment.
  • Learn and support maintenance of sewing equipment including single-needle, overlock, coverstitch, bartack, and specialty machines.
  • Assist with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and equipment troubleshooting under the direction of experienced maintenance personnel.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and adjustments.
  • Assist with equipment installation, relocation, setup, and repairs.
  • Respond to production equipment issues and help minimize downtime.
  • Assist with general facility maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, preventative maintenance, and parts used.
  • Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety, OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, GMP, and company requirements.
  • Work closely with Production Supervisors and Operators to identify and resolve equipment issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong interest in learning industrial maintenance.
  • Previous manufacturing, mechanical, sewing machine, automotive, electrical, or technical experience is a plus.
  • Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow written instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable attendance and positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
