Overview

The Field Service Technician at Calibration Technologies, Inc. (CTI) operates independently, traveling to customer locations for the start-up, calibration, installation, and repair of gas detection systems. The role includes training plant personnel and preparing safety documentation reports.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair gas detection systems and sensors.
  • Train plant personnel on the operation of gas detection systems.
  • Prepare reports for safety documentation to meet OSHA standards.
  • Contact manufacturers and distributors for equipment maintenance.
  • Determine long-term repair methods and solutions using CTI products.

Requirements

  • Understand electronic circuit and troubleshooting fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
  • Experience using a digital multimeter and troubleshooting 120VAC and 24VDC circuits.
  • Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical components safely.
  • Strong understanding of AC and DC circuitry and relay integration methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments and problem-solve effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and Acrobat PDF.

  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week during standard work weeks.
  • 80% travel during Monday-Friday.
